Kay's Ledge

Carolyn A. Victor Land Conservancy, Inc.

CAVLC

The Carolyn A. Victor Land Conservancy, Inc. (CAVLC) owns and manages Kay’s Ledge.  CAVLC was organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on April 25, 2016, specifically to protect, enhance, and restore the natural, geological, and ecological values of Kay’s Ledge, as well as to provide an outdoor classroom for the continuing educational value to students and environmental groups. Visit Our Story to learn more information about Kay and the founding of the non-profit.

The main function of CAVLC is to protect and steward this important refuge for the wildlife that uses the Niagara Escarpment corridor.  The property is not open to the public to minimize activities that may disturb wildlife and degrade their fragile habitat.

A few times a year, CAVLC organizes public and private events to provide educational activities that promote its mission and nurture connections with the land.  Public events in the past have included nature programs and hikes with the Fond du Lac Area Bird & Nature Alliance and Glacial Lakes Conservancy, Inc.  Private events have included education and research activities by Marion University, and campouts and naturalist programs for the Boy Scouts and Future Farmers of America.
