Spring Invasives 2026
A surprise discovery during an early May session: blue cohosh in bloom

Volunteers are needed to remove woody invasives such as buckthorn, bush honeysuckle, and autumn olive from the pond area. Work done in this area will open up the understory to promote the growth of native grasses, forbs, and saplings. This is an opportunity to learn how to identify these invasive trees and shrubs and control their spread. These events are supported by the Fond du Lac Area Bird and Nature Alliance.

Wear a long-sleeved shirt and pants, and bring work gloves and safety glasses if you have them. Training and equipment will be provided.

Cancelled in case of rain.

RSVP via Get Involved to volunteer.
